Build Your Future in the Trades — At No Cost

Join Eden Career Institute for a free information session about our Illinois Works Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program, a no-cost training program designed to prepare you for a career in the construction and building trades.

Learn how this program can help you earn industry-recognized certifications (NCCER, OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR), gain hands-on experience with tools and construction fundamentals, and transition into a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship — all at no cost to you.

  • Sunday, March 29, 2026 — In-Person, Carver Innovation Center (Following the 9:00 AM service)
  • Thursday, April 9, 2026 | 10:00 AM — Virtual
  • Sunday, April 12, 2026 — In-Person, Carver Innovation Center (Following the 9:00 AM service)
  • Thursday, April 23, 2026 | 10:00 AM — Virtual

What You’ll Learn at This Info Session:

  • How the 185-hour program works (Tuesday–Thursday, 9 AM – 3 PM)
  • Certifications and credentials you’ll earn
  • Support services available, including childcare assistance, transportation help, math and reading tutoring, and stipends
  • Job readiness support: resume writing, mock interviews, apprenticeship application assistance, and program tours
  • How to apply and what to expect

Who Should Attend:

All Illinois residents interested in a construction career are welcome. This program places special emphasis on increasing opportunities for women, people of color, and veterans.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • Illinois resident
  • High school diploma, GED, or HiSET
  • Interest in a construction and building trades career
